Every account on this list will hold your dirhams and give your company an IBAN.
The 10 business bank accounts below differ in what happens to the money between arrival and departure, which is how I've grouped them, with the balance requirement and the monthly cost for each.
TL;DR
- The Pemo Business Account, provided by ruya, is the best business bank account in the UAE in 2026, because idle funds go into Wakala deposits paying up to 3.75% expected annual profit, with Bill Pay settling vendor bills from the same balance.
- Wio Business, Mashreq NeoBiz, and UP by CBD open without a branch visit and charge a flat monthly subscription with no minimum balance.
- Emirates NBD, ADCB, FAB, and RAKBANK price most of their SME packages around an average monthly balance, with fall-below fees when you dip under it.
- ADIB and Emirates Islamic run Shari'ah-compliant tiered packages; ADIB's Business Connect swaps the minimum balance for a flat AED 125 a month.
- Minimum balances vary more than monthly fees do: Emirates NBD's Prime package asks for AED 50,000, FAB's Business Basic for AED 10,000, ADIB's Business One for a balance above AED 5,000, and the Pemo Business Account for nothing at all.
What are the best business bank accounts in the UAE in 2026?
The best business bank account in the UAE in 2026 is the Pemo Business Account, provided by ruya, as one account balances both pays expected profit through Wakala deposits and pays your vendors through built-in accounts payable automation.
Prices appear as each provider displays them on its own pages.
Here are the 10 best business bank accounts in the UAE in 2026 from my research:
To make this list, an account had to meet four conditions:
- Held in the company's name with its own UAE IBAN.
- Open to UAE-registered companies, subject to each provider's acceptance criteria.
- Digital application available, meaning no branch appointment to get started.
- Fees published, on a pricing page, in a Key Facts Statement, or in a schedule of charges. UP by CBD is the one exception: its plan prices only appear inside the app, and I kept it because it is the newest zero-balance account from a licensed UAE bank.
Which business bank account in the UAE pays profit on idle cash and runs your payables?
One account here pays expected profit on idle funds through Wakala deposits and clears vendor bills through Bill Pay from the same balance: the Pemo Business Account, provided by ruya.
#1: Pemo Business Account, provided by ruya
The Pemo Business Account is a UAE business bank account in your company's own name, with its own IBAN, opened with ruya and run entirely from the Pemo web and mobile apps.
ruya is the UAE-licensed Islamic bank that holds the licence and the deposits; Pemo builds and runs the software around them.

Disclosure: Pemo is our platform. The limits are listed alongside the strengths.
Four pieces make up the account: 👇
Idle funds move into Wakala deposits paying up to 3.75% expected profit
Money waiting in a current account for next month's bills often returns nothing.
The Pemo dashboard lets you place the part of the balance you won't touch this week into a ruya Wakala deposit, then collect it plus the expected profit when the term ends.

Under a Wakala arrangement the bank invests the money as your agent and pays an expected profit at the end of the term.
The expected profit rate depends on the tenor you choose:
- 1 day: 2.50% expected profit per annum.
- 7 days: 3.00% expected profit per annum.
- 1 month: 3.65% expected profit per annum.
- 3 months: 3.75% expected profit per annum.
- 6 months: 3.50% expected profit per annum.
- 12 months: 3.50% expected profit per annum.
The smallest deposit is AED 5,000, and the largest is AED 5,000,000, with profit credited when the term matures.
Closing a deposit before maturity is allowed, but the profit on it is lost.
You cannot redeem part of a deposit.
💡 ruya sets the rates under its own terms, and terms and conditions apply to every deposit. The figures shown are estimates that can vary with market conditions.
➡️ For example, AED 1,000,000 at the 3.75% rate is AED 37,500 of estimated expected profit a year, or about AED 3,125 a month.

Bill Pay turns an invoice into an authorised payment without leaving the account
Paying a vendor from a traditional business account means keying the beneficiary into online banking and then chasing a signatory for a second login.

Bill Pay, the payables workflow built into the Pemo Business Account, removes those steps.
- Get the invoice in any way you like: a photo, a file upload, or a forwarded email all work, with Pemo's AI reading off the details.
- Approval routing in one place: the bill follows the approval rules your admins and accountants set in company settings, the same way Pemo's card expense policies are set up.
- A code to release funds: once approved, your company's Payment Order Authoriser confirms the payment with a one-time SMS code.
- Several bills in one release: approved bills can be grouped into a batch and authorised together.
- The vendor hears from you automatically: an email goes out to the supplier when the payment leaves.
Outgoing local payments travel over Aani, the UAE's instant payment rail; anything under AED 50,000 usually lands within minutes during business hours.
Paying a vendor abroad isn't possible yet, since the account only sends AED within the UAE for now.
Every payment passes a maker-checker and a fraud check before money leaves
Two common fraud routes in accounts payable are a changed IBAN and a duplicate invoice.
The Pemo Business Account checks for both automatically.
- Two people on every payment: whoever prepares a payment cannot release it. Preparing and approving can be spread across the team; releasing funds belongs to the designated Payment Order Authoriser alone.
- Flags raised before release: a bill submitted twice, a vendor being paid for the first time, and an IBAN that doesn't match are each flagged before any money moves.
- Invoice checked against purchase order: the invoice is validated against the purchase order before the payment goes through.
- A log of everything: every action on every payment is recorded.

💡 Corporate banking has separated preparer from releaser for a long time; here it's switched on for an SME account from day one.
The account feeds your cards, your cheques, and your accounting software
No fintech account can skip the job of receiving money.
The Pemo Business Account handles the older payment rails for that reason.
- Get paid into the IBAN: customers pay straight into the account, whether from a personal account or a company account, in the UAE or abroad.
- Cheques without a branch trip: ruya's courier partner JMBR collects the cheque from a location you arrange and delivers it to the bank for clearing.
- Fund your Pemo cards: transfer from the account into the separate prepaid Card Wallet that pays for Pemo's virtual, physical, and single-use corporate cards.
- Books updated on settlement: when Bill Pay settles an invoice, the entry reaches QuickBooks, Zoho, or Xero already marked as paid.
Every balance appears inside Pemo; there's no second ruya login to manage.
WPS salary payments, scheduled payments, payment links, and international transfers are on the roadmap.
Pricing
The Pemo Business Account is priced as a subscription plus a per-transfer fee.
- Subscription: AED 99 a month at the current discount, against a list price of AED 200. The first 100 companies that open an account pay no subscription until the end of 2026.
- Local transfers: AED 0.50 each, all-in.
- Getting started: nothing to open the account, no balance to maintain, and no ceiling on what you hold.
- Wakala deposits: AED 5,000 to AED 5,000,000.
Accounts typically open within one to three working days of the paperwork being complete; bank statements are optional at onboarding.
Pemo's spend management plans (Starter, Premium, and Enterprise) are listed on the pricing page; the subscription above is what the help centre publishes for the account itself.
You can apply to open an account or book a call with our team if you'd like to see Bill Pay run against your own invoices first.

Wio Bank PJSC runs Wio Business as an app-first account for UAE companies, with Abu Dhabi as its home base and the Central Bank of the UAE as its regulator.
Wio Business publishes a full schedule of fees on its pricing page, which makes it one of the easier accounts here to cost out before applying.
Features

- Multi-currency accounts: free accounts in AED, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, and CHF on both plans.
- Team access: roles and permissions for 2 users on Essential and 10 on Grow, with extra users at AED 26.25 each.

Best for: A new company that wants a mainstream bank's name on the account without a balance to maintain.
Similar to: Wio Business, ADCB.

Mashreq built NeoBiz for companies that want a long-established bank without the paperwork cycle that usually comes with one.

Similar to: Wio Business, Pemo Business Account.

Commercial Bank of Dubai launched UP by CBD in July 2026 as a mobile bank for micro and small businesses.
Because the app connects to the Dubai Unified Licence, a newly licensed company can move from registration to an active account inside the same journey, according to CBD.
Features

- Mobile onboarding: the app verifies you digitally and connects directly to the Dubai Unified Licence and other trade licence authorities.
- Business credit card from day one: eligible companies get an instant credit card, with limits that grow with the business.
- Nothing to keep on deposit: the account carries no minimum balance, with subscription plans chosen inside the app.
- Payments and payroll: local and international transfers, card controls, and WPS payroll from one app.
Pricing
UP by CBD has three subscription plans, none of which asks for a minimum balance:

✅ Instant business credit card.
❌ Launched in July 2026, with little independent user feedback yet.

What else should you know before opening a business bank account in the UAE?
Before opening a business bank account in the UAE, you should know who holds the licence, whether a new company qualifies, how expected profit differs from interest, and which accounts charge fall-below fees.
Is Pemo a bank?
No. Pemo builds and runs the software; the account, the IBAN, and the deposits belong to ruya, a UAE-licensed Islamic bank.
Your company holds a proper UAE business bank account in its own name, opened with ruya through Pemo.
What Pemo adds is the layer around it: payables automation, approval workflows, corporate cards, and the accounting connection.
Can a new company open a business bank account in the UAE without an existing account?
Yes, several accounts on this list accept companies with no prior banking relationship.
The Pemo Business Account can be the first account a company ever opens; bank statements are optional at onboarding.
Wio Business, Mashreq NeoBiz, UP by CBD, ADCB SmartStart, and RAKBANK's RAKstarter are also aimed at small and newly formed companies.
What is a Wakala deposit?
A Wakala deposit is a Shari'ah-compliant term deposit in which the bank invests your money as your agent and pays an expected profit when the term ends.
The word expected matters because Pemo's page states that actual profit may vary with market conditions.
With the Pemo Business Account, tenors run from one day to twelve months, with the 3-month tenor paying the highest expected rate at 3.75% per annum.
Do UAE business bank accounts charge fall-below fees?
Most balance-based packages do.
Emirates NBD, ADCB, FAB, and RAKBANK each publish a monthly charge that applies when your average balance drops under the package threshold; Emirates Islamic lists its charges in a separate schedule.
Subscription-based accounts such as the Pemo Business Account, Wio Business, Mashreq NeoBiz, and ADIB Business Connect charge a flat monthly fee with no balance requirement.
Next steps: apply for a Pemo Business Account
If you keep a large balance and want a branch nearby, the established banks above are built around exactly that relationship.
A flat subscription and a fast digital opening point you to the digital-first accounts.
Where the money should be working between the day it arrives and the day it pays a vendor, the Pemo Business Account is the one built for that.
What your finance team gets with the account:
- Expected profit on idle funds through Wakala deposits paying up to 3.75% per annum.
- Bill Pay that reads the invoice and releases the approved payment from the same account.
- Maker-checker controls that keep the person preparing a payment from being the one who releases it.
- Fraud checks that flag a duplicate invoice, an unfamiliar vendor, or a changed IBAN before funds move.
- Accounting sync that posts each settled invoice to QuickBooks, Zoho, or Xero as paid.
- Nothing to open it and no balance to keep, with AED 0.50 local transfers.
